While the final activities of the harvesting cycle take place, such as re-picking, for a more comprehensive collection of the fruits from plants; the sweeping and clearing of the grains which have fallen on the soil – the new cycle of cultural treatments begins, incited by these final moments of the harvesting phase, just like the sunlight as it penetrates the early hours of the day.
The arrival of coffee at the farmyard slows down, whereas a hastening starts taking place in the practices of returning to the field for cultural treatments. The primary concern and care are with the plants and the soil, as a means of acknowledging the abundance that they have provided us during the harvesting cycle.
Specific machinery and equipment begin to return for maintenance and cleaning, while others are returning to the crops, causing a new cycle to start. An organic and very dynamic flow that propels our lives in the field, at an intersection of infinite cycles.
Meanwhile, the flowers start to signal that life is silently springing up at the heart of winter, gradually calling upon Spring, which has now begun to awaken. In this enchanting universe, the coffee beans, following many days of rest, are now being prepared to follow on their journey to every corner of the world.
This is the end of a cycle which also opens the doors to a new moment: the fruit, after harvesting and processing, now a bean, becomes one of the most desired items of consumption in the world by those who wait for the freshness of a new harvest to fill hundreds of thousands of cups, permeated with new flavors.
That is what we are here for on the farm: to take care and guarantee so that this immeasurable joy and pleasure reaches the hands of every coffee consumer on our planet.
